About
Travisage and how we operate
Since 1994,
cross-dressers and transsexuals know where to find us:
We are located at a convenient, informal location with free parking on our own
premises, out of sight from the public road. For those who prefer public transport:
our shop is at 2 minutes walking distance from the train station.
The
way we work
Appointment
Since we have no public boutique with shopping window, you can browse
in our facility without fear of exposure. That is why we only work by
appointment, so that there is only one customer at any given time. Appointments
can be made for a morning, afternoon or evening on weekdays from Monday
to Friday. Travisage
has come to distinguish itself in service, assortment, and a professional
yet personal approach. Partners are welcome at all appointments, but
otherwise there will be no other people present. Furthermore we
do not charge entrance fee.
You will be welcomed with a cup of coffee or tea and we will chat a
little to get acquainted. Often enough a need for deeper conversation
will emerge in time. |

You will be
attended to by Truus, a (biological) woman with many years of experience with
the phenomenon Cross-Dressing (in Dutch called ‘travestie’).
Truus and her husband Ad (a cross-dresser himself) know from experience the
importance of discretion in this mostly hidden world,
and the importance of a safe and reliable address that one can trust.
Personal
advice
Upon your arrival, Truus will accompany you to the transformation room,
where you can explain and elaborate on what you are looking for.
You can take all the time you need, and we will always give you personal
advice. For example, if you are looking for a wig, we will provide you
with a full transformation (free of charge), including make-up. Truus
will assist and advise you on the size and haircut of the wig to help
you choose the one that fits your person. This way you can get a perfect
impression of your alter-ego.
Many customers tell us they experience this as a pleasant surprise. |

The same assistance
and advice are given for every aspect of you transformation, whether you are
looking for a new addition to your wardrobe or, for example, new breast prosthesis.
We carry almost all articles on stock.

When
it comes to selecting clothes, Truus will gladly help you find the right
size and the right colour combinations, since experience has proved that
this is not always as simple as it sounds.
It is often thought that ordering from a mail order catalogue or on-line
shops is easy and anonymous (please be aware that it is never as anonymous
as it seems!). However, the results are often disappointing, because the
clothes do not fit properly, or the colours and model differ from the
pictures. |
At Traviage,
we offer you the opportunity to try outfits on, so you can see how it looks
on you before deciding to purchase. Also, our assortment is fully tailored to
our customers, taking into account that not all women’s clothes are suitable
for cross-dressing.
Furthermore, your privacy is guaranteed: not only is the shop hidden from public
view, we at Travisage
will not ask you your name if you do not want to tell us, much less ask for
any other information such as home address or telephone number. Often customers
prefer to go by their alter-ego’s name and never disclose their official
name.
We
assure you that you will always get a fitting advice, literally and figuratively,
in a quiet and relaxing setting.
The
Transformation
For most cross-dressers, especially those relatively new to the concept,
it is very hard to make the change from him to her all by themselves.
Especially for inexperienced cross dressers, it can be a welcome thought
to be assisted in finding “the right type of woman” to match
your ideas.
At Travisage you
will be competently assisted with choosing the right components in our
assortment of clothes and corrective underwear, hairstyle, make-up, shoes,
accessories, etc.
Truus can help you with putting together the right components to bring
out the most beautiful and natural looking woman in you.
Very often this leads to startling results, which you can experience for
yourself.
